BSG Law Attorneys Selected as Faculty for Maryland Judicial Education Course
We are proud to announce that two of our esteemed trial attorneys, Partner Gretchen Rogers, Esq. and Associate Brandon Cooper, Esq. have been chosen by the Judicial College of Maryland to serve as faculty for the 2024 and 2025 Workers’ Compensation Law Course. This prestigious selection highlights their deep expertise in workers’ compensation law and commitment to advancing the legal profession.
The Judicial College of Maryland offers approximately 60 classes annually, providing continuing education for the state’s Circuit Court and Appellate Court judges. By serving as teachers in this program, Gretchen and Brandon will play a vital role in ensuring that Maryland’s judiciary is equipped to handle the complexities of Workers’ Compensation cases effectively and fairly.
They will join an impressive panel of faculty members, including David M. Schoenfeld, Esq. of Kiernan Trebach, and Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commissioner James Forrester, Esq. to educate judges on the intricacies of this niche area of law.
Workers’ Compensation law plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and fair workplace for Maryland’s employers and employees. However, the complexity of this field—encompassing medical evidence, workplace safety regulations, legal precedent, and procedural rules—requires deep knowledge and skill. Ongoing judicial education ensures that judges remain well-versed in these nuances, allowing them to adjudicate Workers’ Compensation cases fairly and effectively.
At Berman, Sobin, Gross LLP, we are honored to see our attorneys recognized for their expertise in Workers’ Compensation law. Gretchen and Brandon’s involvement as faculty members underscores our firm’s longstanding commitment to supporting Maryland’s legal system and sharing insights gained from years of advocacy. We believe that educating the judiciary is not only a privilege but a responsibility that strengthens the administration of justice in our state.
