About Lauren

Lauren is very passionate about labor and educating her clients and local unions about the rights and responsibilities of injured workers. She feels that it is important to give back to the community and has, in the process, set up volunteer opportunities for members of her law firm to assist women and children living in local shelters. During her free time, Lauren enjoys fun outings and sports activities with her husband and two children.

Professional Experience

Lauren joined the law firm of Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP in 2005, and she became the firm’s first female Partner in 2013. For the past 14 years, Lauren has represented injured workers throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Lauren is a believer in educating unions and injured workers about their right and responsibilities under the workers compensation statute and so, outside of her daily practice, she performs seminars to unions and volunteers at workers’ rights clinics. Prior to joining Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, Lauren received her Bachelors of Arts at Boston College in 2001 and graduated from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC in 2004. While in law school, Lauren served as Vice Chancellor of the Moot Court Team and organized many of the school’s volunteer programs to help children and the underprivileged. Prior to joining Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, Lauren served as a Law Clerk the Honorable John H. Bayly, Jr. in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Currently Lauren resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with her husband, Zach, and her two children, Gabriella and Torsten.
